At Altus, we use a wide variety of materials and processing methods, and the resulting tones with a variety of characteristics are offered as options for each player's diverse sensibilities.

Sterling silver (Ag925), which has a silver content of 92.5%, is the most standard material for flutes, but Altas also offers Britannia silver (Ag958), which has a silver content of 95.8%, and 99.7% silver content. Metalized silver (Ag997), 94.6% Altus silver (Ag946), which was created after various trial and error in pursuit of the tone of the old French flute, and silver alone uses four types of materials.

Each material has different density, hardness, and malleability during plastic deformation, which naturally causes changes in the flute manufacturing process. By using the appropriate processing method for each material, it is possible to bring out the full range of tones with a variety of overtone compositions depending on the silver content and other ingredients.

《Standard series》

Standard series entry model. At Altus, we manufacture our products with utmost care and avoid compromise as much as possible. Although it is an entry model, it uses the same design of washer, key cup, point arm, key mechanism, etc. as the handmade series, achieving both high quality and excellent cost performance.
