FMR Audio designs and manufactures serious, no-frills studio tools that can be had on a shoestring budget. Their first product, the 1/3 rack "Really Nice Compressor" (or "RNC" as it is lovingly known) raised the bar for what an inexpensive piece of gear can do -- and it's done through brilliant design. This stereo compressor uses a microprocessor to control the compression, getting the component cost down while keeping the audio quality high. The company soon beefed up their offerings with the Really Nice Preamp, Really Nice Leveling Amplifier, and PBC-6A mono compressor as well as 500 Series modules and an instrument processor pedal.
