Carl C. Holzapfel Classical Guitar with Case

Here is a beautiful Carl C. Holzapfel and Son Classical Guitar made by Carl M. (Carl C.’s son) Holzapfel in Baltimore, MD. This guitar has seen its share of wear over the years, but it still plays well and looks great. See pics for details. I had the neck/headstock crack checked out by a qualified luthier at Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta and they said that it may or may not have been glued in the past, but either way it is stable. There are numerous cracks in the finish on the body of the guitar, but nothing that goes through the wood. The back of the headstock says, “Made in Germany”. I believe this means that the neck was manufactured in Germany before this guitar was put together by Carl M. in Baltimore.
