About This Listing
Forsale is my 1928 National Tricone, style '2.5' squareneck guitar. First year of production was 1927, this instrument is #537 as seen in the photos. The ‘.5' in the 'Style 2.5', refers to the additional 'squiggle' en- gratings that are seen on the edges of the instrument's sides. It is in excellent condition. There is a bit of cloudiness on the back surface (over time the acid in your skin produces this effect) as photographed. There is one small, shallow divot about 1/8' in size on the treble side. The low 'E' string tuner button has been replaced. Bone nut has been replaced, don't know about the saddle. I have no idea about the cones as I’ve never needed to take the cover plate off. Resonators can be finiky beasts with respect to noise, so my philosophy has always been if it's not broken leave it allow. The sound is sweet and clear with no rattles or noise.Comes with the original hard case, in very 'poor' condition (honestly it has a bungee cord holding it together). Please look well at the photos and ask questions before making the purchase. Happy to send additional photos and to answer any questions that your might have. Buyer to pay for box and 'actual' shipping and insurance charges. I will gladly refund any excess charges for shipping. Will be sent UPS Ground. Shipping in US, lower 48 only. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. Paypal only, payment must be received within 48 hours of the actual sale. I will allow returns within 48 hours of receipt. Buyer must pay return shipping. Thanks for looking!
