Hiwatt has always been known for clean volume, and the Fane High Gain speaker is all about volume. But even though “High Gain” is in its name, the FHG plays very nicely with clean amps, especially with those in the Hiwatt DR range. Its mid scoop is pronounced enough to tame even the most fire breathing of high gain amps, but not exaggerated enough to take spank and clarity away from clean tones. A single FHG speaker is rated at a whopping 150 watts which makes it well suited for high power/ high gain amps and clean amps where big power handling and speaker headroom is the goal. Fantastic in a 412 cabinet, a great match for all the Hiwatt Custom Shop Amps. Loud as hell, and at 600 watts of power it can handle even the mightiest of amplifiers.
