Akai MPC2500 Music Production Center TRADE FOR MPC1000

Imo not recommended for ppl new to producing. Just start with a DAW.

Recently put on some new switches but only on select spots. They were the number 6, cursors, track mute, step forward+back, bar forward-back, mode, main, window, and shift buttons. The Q1 slider had issues but found out it had a faulty solder joint. I repaired that as well. You can view the soldering i did in the pics.

Tap tempo doesn't work. I don't think i plan on fixing it tho.  (Update 1/28/22: it works, jjos just disabled it by default. See the jjos FAQ in mpc-forums. Personally, i never used.)

A couple of the plastic button inserts got a little bent. They are still functional but will probably snap if not handled carefully in disassembly.

I never used the multi outs or footswitch with this so those are untested. Let me know if you want me to check. But the stereo in, main outs and headphone jack work as they should. Dvd drive worked last i tested. This doesn't have a hard drive, just a 8GB CF card full of sounds from the previous owner and some song remakes i made, which might be useful for familiarizing yourself with the device if you are new to mpc's. I'm open to doing a song remake on request if u buy this.

For local pickup, we'll meet at a public location up in Inwood. Otherwise, I can deliver for an extra $10, provided the location is easy travel for me.
