The Naeem No. 2 is a Miraj-made, "half-decoration" Karaj Pancham / Ravi Shankar style sitar.  This is a sitar where they get all the details right - the resonant toomba is a real gourd, the Jawari and tuners are real bone... With every decision thoughtfully made, you can bet this sitar sounds great and will age into excellence.

Naeem Sitarmaker maintains integrity and artistry using only locally sourced materials and honing them into fine quality instruments, as has been the tradition in his family for over 150 years.

While much of India is rapidly advancing, the Indian instrument manufacturing process remains comparatively primitive. From touch ups to tuning, much of what we do at Old Delhi Music is add a layer of quality control to an otherwise non-standardized production process.
