Here we have another piece of rock ‘n roll history. From the private collection of Neal Smith, the original drummer of the Alice Cooper group is this vintage 1980’s black Ludwig 24″ bass drum with 6 ply maple shell used to record two tracks on Donald “Buck” Dharma’s (Blue Oyster Cult) 1982 solo album “Flat Out”. Neal recorded the track “Born to Rock” which was featured on MTV in the early 80’s and another track called “That Summer Night”. Included in this sale is a certificate of authenticity signed by Neal himself. There is a rubber boot missing from one of the bass drum spurs (shown in photo), while the rest of the drum is complete. There are signs of wear, usage and age so please view our photos carefully and consider them part of the description.
