The Ibanez TS808DX Tube Screamer w/Boost is a new take on a classic. The TS808DX provides that cranked valve amp tone with mid boost, to sit better with the sound of a band or in a recording's mix.
It's the '808' re-issue with an added switchable boost circuit for up to 20dB of boost for solos or just when you are playing cleaner or softer parts. The boost can be placed pre or post the overdrive circuit, allowing for greater variation in tones and effect. The footswitches on the TS808DX are similar to the flagship TS808 Handwired, which are easier to operate than the standard switches.
