Description:

Mix-down or transfer of digital recordings from one manufacturer's digital recorder to another's isn't always straight forward. Some manufacturer's Digital Work stations or DAT recorders have only Optical outputs, and some offer only coaxial inputs, or vice versa.
The ODL-276 is a high-quality, optical/coaxial converter, allowing simultaneous transfer (dubbing) of two channels of digital audio in either or both directions between S/PDIF-COAXIAL (RCA) and S/PDIF OPTICAL (Toslink-type fiber-optic). Now, even though some digital recorders and work stations have only optical connections, and some have only coaxial, you can still make transfers without leaving the digital realm. An indispensable tool for the digital recordist!

Compatibility Issues:

S/PDIF only. Not compatible with the optical I?O of the Alesis ADAT. This unit will not enable transfer of second-generation recordings that have been protected by S.C.M.S. (Serial Copy Management System.)
