The 59X12's resonant hardwood body (with spruce top) and snappy maple neck operate in perfect harmony, with a pau ferro fingerboard adding to the guitar's overall richness and sustain. A hardtail bridge (adjustable) gives this affordable 12-string rock-solid intonation and sustain. Rounding out this stylish semi-hollow is a set of die-cast chrome knobs and complementary chrome hardware. This guitar has a 1.763" nut width and weighs 7 lbs.

The iconic Shorthorn design makes a triumphant return in the Danelectro 59X12 12-string electric guitar. Tapping the hardwood/plywood semi-hollow body reveals a rich resonance, unplugged or onstage, which is why you could see earlier iterations of this guitar in the hands of notable axemen Syd Barrett and Jimmy Page.

Versatile H/S pickups

The 59X12 ain't your grandaddy's Dano. This retro reimagining of the classic 59 is a thoroughbred rock stallion, with a snarling P-90 in the neck position and a full-range lipstick humbucker at the bridge. The angled pickup design is effective at balancing notes across all twelve strings, giving bridge-position high octaves a bit more warmth and neck-position low octaves a touch more clarity. What surprised us is how well the humbucker cleans up, especially in the split configuration. Engaging the push-pull coil-split unearths more of the iconic jangle and bite which 12-string Danelectros are best known for.
