Lovies Guitars is Excited to offer up this 2008 Martin D-18V Vintage Series 175th Anniversary Acoustic/ Electric Guitar! Acknowledged as one of the pre-eminent workhorses in the history of the steel string guitar, the essence of the D-18 has not changed in over 70 years: spruce top, mahogany back & sides, 14 frets to the body, 25.4" scale length and a 1 11/16" nut width. Beginning in 1986, Martin added the adjustable truss rod so the neck relief on this D-18 can be set to spec without expensive, time consuming surgical help.
The tonal quality of the D-18 is timeless. Long a favorite of recoding engineers, the D-18 works as a strummer, flat-picker, or fingerpicker. It is heard on thousands of recordings in a wide range of styles - traditional bluegrass, folk, rock, country… The non-scalloped traditional X bracing gives it a pronounced midrange to match its big bass tones. You name a famous player, singer, or songwriter of the last 50 years, and there’s an excellent chance they recorded using a D-18. A genuine Martin D-18 is truly a piece of history. Excellent Shape with a few micro marks on the top and a few indents and scuffs on the back, 9/10. ALL Original. NO Breaks, Cracks or Repairs!
