This is a hand hammered, 14" Copper Trash Hat. The entire cymbal is hand formed, including the bell. This allows full control of the shape, tone, and voice of the cymbal. The bell on this cymbal is lower and flatter, like the old Istanbul Zildjian Ks, Keropes, or many Istanbul Agop cymbals.
The cymbal is made of raw copper sheet, which will naturally patina and age over time. The finish allows both the oxidized portion to be seen, while contrasting with the polished copper.
This is a single hat that weighs approx 551 grams. It is finished in a wavy fashion to allow air to move freely and increase the trashiness of the wash. This cymbal can be used as a top or bottom hat. Additionally, it can be added between two existing hats to add to the tone of primary or aux hats. The dryness of the copper makes a quicker sound.
