This SP1200 is rare and in perfect condition. It truly is better than what Emu would have released brand new because of its upgrades and it functions flawlessly.
I bought it used about 3 years ago and it had just been completely restored by the only person who should ever work on your SP1200: Bruce Forat.
There are some extremely small imperfections and scratches that are to be expected with a machine that is almost 30 years old, but nothing obtrusive or distracting.
The following upgrades were made:- Output boost mod (only Forat does this right...)
- Sample input mod (so you can monitor while recording samples)
- New display with variable brigtness (knob attached discretely on the back)
- Replaced all sliders with brand new ones
- Refurbished all pads and replace switch parts as needed
- Refurbished all function buttons
- Repaired intermittent loud hissing noise out of mix out and hi pitched
noise caused by an old display inverter - Corrected ADC offset
- adjusted all trims back to factory specs
