Unlike other modern smaller-bodied acoustics, the Delta 00’s quarter-sawn, hand-sanded scalloped bracing is shifted back (away from the sound hole), staying true to the traditional designs of the time. The result is a slightly compressed throwback tone, but with modern output and projection that lends itself well to both fingerpicking and flatpicking, in standard or alternate tunings. It's got all the snort and grit you'd expect from an old guitar this size, but with better tonal balance. The brilliant high-gloss finish really shows off the beauty of the mahogany back and sides.
