I'm selling my mint condition Roland SE-02 boutique synthesizer with a wood end cap stand. I bought this brand new, and it's never left my studio space. Never been dropped, bumped, or even spoken too sternly before.
This Minimoog "clone" from Studio Electronics and Roland is a beast. It's wild how many textures it can create, from soft plucks to growling distorted leads or bass lines. I even made a percussion sample pack from nothing but this synth. It's very versatile and powerful. The number of patches it can store, on top of the built-in delay + a few other features, build on the Minimoog sound in an exciting way taking that vibe one step further. Those are the reasons I chose this synth over the Behringer Model D; even if the sound is a little less faithful to the Moog sound, the 4 banks of patch storage + the sequencer made it an easy choice.
I got this synth early on in my electronic music journey, not entirely sure what my sound was or what I liked. Now that I'm more comfortable and understand what my instrument needs are, I want to sell this piece to finance a granular synth to begin work on a concept album that I have kicking around in my brain.
I'll miss it, but maybe we'll meet one day again.
After getting this synth, I bought a wood stand for it off Etsy. I tightened the screws a little too tight once, splitting the joining bar underneath. I repaired it with two-part epoxy, and it has been fine since; just don't over tighten like I did. I'm including the stand with this purchase.
