1998 Taylor Presentation Series W-14 "ALL WALNUT" Grand Auditorium Body Acoustic Guitar! This is the only example ALL Walnut W-14 that we can find any evidence of having ever been made! A handful of spruce or cedar topped cutaway models were made in 1998, but this is the only all walnut example we can find any evidence of ever being made, and additionally it is a non-cutaway! You can see Robert Taylor used a W-14-C cutaway label inside the guitar and wrote only W-14 without the "C" on the Warranty card, indicating to us that this is the only non-cutaway example made. The "1" in the 7th digit of the serial number indicates Presentation Series as explained on the official Taylor website with the full serial number decoding to reveal 1998 year, built June 25th as a Presentation Series and the 43rd guitar in the day's sequence. From what I have researched, the limited amount of flame walnut Taylor guitars from this period come from the legendary 400 year old walnut tree featured in the Stephen King "Kujo" movie that was used to build a limited run of "Kujo" guitars the year before this was built. This guitar came to us from the finest acoustic guitar collection we have ever come across with the very rarest Taylor guitars. This incredible instruments appears to be totally unplayed and is investment grade. The flame walnut full body on this guitar provides an unparalleled tone. If you want the absolute very best, you are looking at it. This is the rarest of the rare.
