Here is a beautiful Martin D18. Serial # dates it to 1957. While it is a well played instrument and shows from a few dings and scuffs. It is in very good condition. All the braces are tight and in tact. No top cracks or back cracks (although there is a slight finish crack at the back center seam) natural checking throughout. The guitar has been inspected under a UV light and shows no signs of a neck reset or respray even the pickguard still glows yellow. One or two of the tuners are a little stiff but hold and function properly. What appeared to be the original frets have been leveled and crowned in my shop to correct a slight buzz and remove a few cowboy chord gouges. Action is nice and low and neck is straight. Nut and saddle both appear to be original as well. It has received a intense cleaning and polish to bring out the gorgeous figure in the top and luster of the 65 year old finish. The guitar has a complex and defined tone and sustains very well. Comes with original green lined hardshell case also in very good condition.

Now for the bad... The bridge lifted at some point in the guitars life and was reglued by a "friend" of the original owner, while the repair is holding and structurally sound but, it is a little unattractive since it wasn't fully seated and has a slight gap at the rear.  I thought about removing it and fixing it correctly but, the risk of damaging the top or bridge for a repair that is technically fully functional. Seemed to me, that juice isn't worth the squeeze.
