This Gibson SG Standard '61 SG has several factory modifications, most notably the custom etched Vibrola cover with "SG" and a decorative floral element. The guitar also has aged gold plated hardware instead of the typical nickel, VOS finish treatment, Grover tuners, and Alnico 3 humbuckers. It is in near mint condition with only a few very small dents near the neck pickup, as shown in the closeup photo. The guitar is stamped "MOD" on the back of the headstock.
The guitar is set up beautifully and plays with low, fast action. All notes ring out clearly at all frets. The alnico 3 humbuckers sound fantastic either clean or overdriven.
