Modeled after the original pre-war resonator guitars, Recording King resonators are some of the foremost metal body guitars on the market. Thanks to traditional bell brass body construction, they deliver incredible projection and classic resonator tone. The Recording King RM-997-VG features a 9.5" hand-spun European Recording King cone, a mahogany neck and a hard maple bridge. The aged green patina finish is oxidized like it's been played on a swampy porch for years.
Specifications:
This model has been difficult to get lately. However, I just got three of them in. They do sell rather briskly when they do become available. Wait long and you just might wait wrong!
We have fine tuned and set this guitar up in our own Nashville Area shop (RedLine Acoustics/Cumberland Acoustic). We make sure the truss rod is adjusted properly, nut and bridge saddle slots are just right, and check-and-double-check each and every fret. This guitar now plays great and it sounds great too! Perfect for fingerstyle, picking, and even slide playing. These guitar are great for playing all types of music, especially the blues!
If you would prefer buying this guitar without a case, we can offer it to you at a lower price, but when you get the guitar with the case, you are getting the case at a discounted price. If you decide you do not want the case, just make an offer that is $100 less than the price on the listing, and let me know that you do not want the case. I also currently have a very nice gig bag option, which will cost less than the hard shell case, should you prefer to go that way. Just let me know!
Another thing about the case, I have one case like the one in the included pictures. It has black lining inside. I have two other cases that are similar, but the lining is gray in color. First come, first serve on case choice.
Notice this listing also offers the option of local pick-up. If you happen to be in the Nashville, TN area, we would love to have you come by and see us. It's an excellent opportunity to try out other instruments we have on hand as well.
One last thing, we are an Authorized (Gold Crown) Dealer for all Recording King instruments, so your purchase of this guitar includes the full Manufacturer's Warranty.
As always, thank you for looking. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message.
