We are the fourth owner. Our Son attends music school and wants to upgrade to a larger instrument. We purchased it from a Music Education Teacher's daughter from Florida who tool great care of it. We have owned it for two years. The previous owner purchased this from a HS student going to college as a non-music major several years ago. That family purchased it from Janis Potter who is a famous marimba player living in Florida. She needed to upgrade to a bigger marimba for her daughter (like us now for our son) to have the octaves available for more complex music
We store the Marimba in a room at constant 65 to 69 degrees and controlled humidity. We do not believe this has ever been used by a HS Marching Band because the condition is great considering the age, and the frame is sturdy and straight. The wheels are in great shape too.
