This unit is a 20-bit DAC with excellent sonic characteristics that sold for $2000 in 1992 dollars. It's in perfect working order. It never did see much actual usage in the sound chain, but the top of its super-sturdy case shows quite a few cosmetic scratches from other stereo-system units that came and went from atop it over the years.
