About This Listing

RARE! Anyone who knows Yamaha John JR Robinson 6.5x14 Amber Sunburst signature snare drum, knows this discontinued snare drum is one of the most sought-after models they ever produced. I bought this drum new, and the drum has spent its life on a display shelf with My collection of 124 snare drums. It has a birch shell with an outer ply of birds' eye maple. The outer ply is highly finished in a beautiful Amber Sunburst. The snare has 20 copper nails embedded into the batter bearing edge. ese nails speed up the vibration through the shell and gives this drum quick snare response and sensitivity. These nails also give this drum the attack of a metal snare drum while maintaining the warmth and body of a wood drum. The Zinc Die Cast hoops are rigid for precise tuning. The hoops, lugs, strainer and butt are all finished in smokey black chrome. This drum looks and sounds amazing. I am also including a new pair of Regal Tip, John JR Robinson signature drumsticks, and a new Yamaha Drum key. I will be 74 in August. I am thinning out part of my collection. I will only ship this drum to the lower 48 States USA
