This Regal resonator is in excellent condition, and sounds great too. Easily handles standard tuning and fretting, as well as open-tuning for playing with a slide (or both at the same time). Guitar was bought new in 2013 and has been played very little and well cared for. A couple minor scratches on the rear side of the lower bout (see photo).

Descriptions and Specs:

(From manufacturer) — “These new Regal™ metal-body guitars are as close to the pre-war originals as you’ll find! In every point of tone, finish and style— they equal or exceed their vintage counterparts. Crafted out of either steel or brass, with shiny new finishes or the antiqued, relic versions, these Regals™ have the authentic tone and tremendous volume that will inspire your playing! The Duolian has a neck that joins the body at the 14th fret.”

(note: The following description is for the RC-2 model—which is identical to the RC-4 except for a different pattern on the resonator cover plate) —

“The Regal RC-2 Duolian has been a favorite with blues legends since it was first introduced in 1931. This modern version has been upgraded with a fully adjustable neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and a 14th-fret neck joint. 15:1 ratio machine heads tune easily and securely. The rolled-in F-holes, cover plate, and tailpiece are true to the vintage original Duolian. The spun resonator cone with wooden biscuit bridge provides the amazing tone that has made this guitar a classic.”
