This guitar has been relisted due to the buyer not being familiar with what a “hot dot” pickup is. I shouldn’t have presumed that everyone would know. So, a “hot dot” or “hot dot” style pickup was a popular non-soundhole, non-magnetic pickup system for acoustic guitars. Some were applied with a putty-like substance - others permanently attached. In this case, you will see on the treble side of the bridge, a small circular metal disc. This is what remains of that old style pickup system. It is not attached and when removed, will reveal a hole. This does not affect how this guitar plays or sounds whatsoever. I’m also lowering the price to the exact offer I received from that buyer which is $772 plus shipping. String height is 6/64” bass side and 5/64” treble side. The neck is dead straight. This is a well-used O18T tenor guitar from 1974. I purchased it recently from the original owner who ordered it in 1974. He played it a lot and it shows in the form of honest playing wear. No cracks or structural damage, just worn from being played. I was told that it had been refretted. The current frets show some wear but it plays easily and comfortably without buzzing. It had a “hot dot” style pickup installed into the bridge - it’s still in place but no longer active. There is a bridge saddle pickup with a preamp that works and sounds great. The previous owner had Grover tuners installed. Includes the original hard shell case. If you are looking for nice, player grade tenor guitar, this is a good deal.
