Legendary Gibson SG Build With its immediately recognizable dual "horns", the body of the SG Standard is built from mahogany shaped into a double cutaway design. The mahogany neck features a long tenon 19th fret neck joint, and runs right into the body for great sustain with every note. It also has a 24.75" scale length and rounded profile for a great feel. Very Playable Design Specs The fretboard on the SG Standard is bound rosewood lined with acrylic trapezoid inlays. A Graph Tech nut allows the strings to move smoothly when bending. The headstock bears the Gibson name and is adorned with Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons. On the body, an aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop bar keep the strings secure.
