Ibanez TS9 Owned and used by David Rawlings Model Overdrive Pedal Effect, c. 1981, made in Japan, serial # 119137, Green finish. The Tube Screamer from Ibanez is without a doubt not only one of the most influential pedals ever made, but fully a well from which countless pedals have sprung. Originally built by Maxon, the TS9 was the second Tube Screamer after the TS808 used and was also loved famously by Stevie Ray Vaughn. The TS9 was only made until 1985 until it was reissued in the 90's to become the bread and butter of any music store pedal section.Height is 4 3/4 in. (12.1 cm.), 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) width, and 2 in. (5.1 cm.) in depth at deepest point. Overall, the pedal is in excellent working order with minimal cosmetic damage and full functionlity. The only alteration to be found is the removal of the original JRC4558D chip, which likely burnt out after years of use; at some point, pin headers were mounted and the chip and was replaced with a non-original modern counterpart. The utilitarian addition of the pin headers would make for the simple addition and removal of chip to fit the player's taste. Beyond this and one small internal screw missing, all else is as you'd expect in 1981 from the 1981-dated pots to the shiny black label despite years. Excellent - Condition.
