It's officially maxed out limited edition and rare today in good shape.
Actually it's the last good sounding 16-bit MPC.
The difference between stock 2500 and Special Edition is:
- 128mb of memory
- Black knobs, faders, buttons and pads.
- White gloss paint and carbon trim.
- Blue high contrast display
- CD-R/DVD Drive
Everything is working like new, it was recently serviced to replace tactile switches as some needed to be pressed twice after long time of not using it and also wanted to sell it fully working in 100%.
Most common problem in these are tactile switches, often replaced by aftermarket ones which have short lifespan, need slightly more force and are much louder.
Original tactile switches in MPC 2500 are made by ALPS, so I can confirm all switches in this machine are from ALPS.
MPC was also fully cleaned, there's no dust or dirt inside/outside whatsoever so it can't be cleaner.
Display mechanism has been dismantled, cleaned and lubricated so it's working smoother and quieter.
No dead pixels.
Operating software is fully paid JJOS-XL 3.79 (free updates) but can be also served with official AKAI OS.
Selling personal collection of gear since had it in various places and just migrated into single one.
Every parcel will be well packed and fully insured.
Comes from smoke and pet free studio.
