Tried and true tonewood combination

The Banshee GT-6's comfortable contoured body is made from mahogany — a tonewood loved at Sweetwater for its superb midrange resonance. The body is then mated with a set-through maple neck. Set-through neck construction lengthens the neck pocket, allowing more of the neck's surface area to be glued into the body. Set-through necks add extra sustain and stability to your guitar. The maple neck is topped off with an ebony fingerboard to add extra note definition and visual appeal.

Achieve a variety of tones with EMG active pickups

The Banshee GT-6 FR is suitable for almost any genre of music. It's equipped with a set of EMG 60/81 humbucking pickups the create tones from creamy chords to ferocious leads. The EMG 60 in the neck is perfect for clean leads and chords. This versatile pickup has the same thick mids and harmonic overtones of a mini-humbucker while retaining the powerful output that EMG junkies love. When you switch to the bridge pickup, an EMG 81 utilizes powerful ceramic magnets to provide an intense, saturated tone. When you're ripping a solo, your tone will bulldoze through the mix to take center stage.

Floyd Rose tremolo system adds expressive performance

Schecter and Floyd Rose have partnered to bring you the Floyd Rose Special Hot Rod double-locking tremolo for a new level of control and stability. Floyd Rose has long been one of the best double-locking tremolo. And the Hot Rod is a specialized take on their iconic design that you will only find on select Schecter guitars. The addition of this trem is another appointment that prepares the Banshee GT-6 FR for your best playing.
