THIS GUITAR IS CURRENTLY FOR SALE, THERE WAS AN ACCEPTED OFFER, BUT THE "BUYER" BACKED OUT and got another instrument before he knew I accepted his offer.
This is a very clean, beautiful sounding, playing and looking D18GE. I am selling because I have too many really nice guitars that are not getting played enough, and I am getting old. I plan to keep only the 2 that I have made, and to allow other players to own fine instruments like this.  This guitar is responsive to pick or finger play. The notes are clear and rich to my ears, and it is fun to play. This instrument is noticeably light weight, which I love. It is one great sound box. Waverly open-back tuners, a bit of bear-claw on the top. This guitar has been underplayed, spending most of it's time in the case. Even though I got this instrument practically new, it came with some repaired small damage. I was told it got some damage in shipping. The repair is hard to see, one really has to look for it, and it seems to have no effect on sound or play ability. Look at it in the 4th to the last photo. The photo after that shows some small white  specks, which I think make up the only other imperfections on the back. There is some separation at the heal. With a little resistance I can fit a business card a short way under the heal from the back. the D18GE is built with some features from 1937 I believe. Adirondack spruce top, forward shifted scalloped X braces, ebony bridge and fretboard, 1 3/4" at the nut. The guitar is on Kauai.
