About This Listing

Description

The Zildjian New Beat Hats are considered the most versatile HiHat cymbals in the world today. The original design was brought to us by the late, great drummer, Louie Bellson who sought a pair of HiHats with a solid beat and a perfect all-purpose combination of stick and "chick" sound. It is symmetrically machine hammered and lathed with a traditional wide groove. The result is an exuberant cymbal that bursts with a classic voice that is pure, bright, and expressive.

Product Overview
The Zildjian 15" A New Beat Hi-Hats makes a triumvirate out of the bright tonality of inherent in the A family, an enlarged cymbal size for a larger presence, and a medium weight in the top cymbal and a heavy weight in the bottom for a heartily-defined "chick" sound. Conceived in the 1980s as a means to craft a cymbal which could compete with the bright, louder genres emerging at the time, this hi-hat pairing is full-bodied and robust. Perfect for players who want every articulation in their playing heard.
