That's because the EVH Wah Wah is a clone of Eddie's "Holy Grail" Cry Baby — a standard Cry Baby he had customized in the '90s for a more vocal-like tone. Dunlop's gone as far as to re-create the "worn-in" pot feel and sweep, so the EVH Wah Wah feels the same beneath your foot as Eddie's does beneath his.
