One of the most under-appreciated lines in all of the drum shells in your drum shop is the Pearl Vision line. Later turned into the beloved and inexpensive Decade line, this snare holds all the MASTERS qualities, without the crazy price.
- Horizontal grain inside and out, with gleaming Sequoia Red Lacquer Finish. This is not a wrap! Deep, deep gloss and grain!
- Full 6-ply birch with no Ludwig-style flakeboard filler plies..
- Solid, sturdy Masters quality hardware.
- Not a scratch on this beauty. This piece was never used. It is an NOS item!
- The only things that set this apart from it's more revered and expensive brethren is that is an 8-rod example with standard hoops. Some Fat-Tone hoops on this would bring it to a new level.
- Though not used at all, there is some mild pitting of the hoops.. Common of the soft chromed steel. Fortunately, the hoops are the only parts where the lack of high-end quality shows thru and they are easily replaceable of you choose. They perform perfectly fine as they are tho, however.
- This finish is a dead match for the older MLX and BLX finishes as well as Masters shells.
