I am offering my 1982 HIWATT Custom 50 watt, DR-504 beauty.
It has been hardly played and been in storage for over 30 years. It is a wonderful example of the early Biacrown amps right after Dave Reeves's passing in 1981.
This is a transitional unit with the metal toggle Power and Standby switches, instead of the plastic red light "rocker" switches. The drake transformers are the same trannys Marshall was using, so it's like a hybrid. Hiwatt front end/Marshall power end. And it is very loud, you wouldn't know if it was a 50 or 100 watt amp if you didn't look at it. All maintenance has been performed and is ready to rock.
This amp is a beast and is the all around best 50 watt head Hiwatt had to offer in 1982. Made in England.
This amp is built like a tank. It’s a 40 year old closet queen that belongs in a museum.
Hiwatt is still the all around best amp, especially these vintage models. Local pickup preferred
