Akai MPC1000:

A powerful version of the world's most legendary sampler!

Description

In the massive worlds of rap and electronic music, the Akai MPC is hands-down one of the most important pieces of equipment of all time. The original MPC60, released in 1988 in a collaboration between Akai and the legendary Roger Linn (of LinnDrum fame ), provided an intuitive, tactile controller in the hands of producers around the world, allowing them to trigger (with pressure-sensitive pads) a range of samples, treating any waveform like a percussive instrument. By virtue of its simplicity and power, the MPC changed music making as we know it, influencing nearly every genre of music which relied on sampling.

The MPC1000 model, released in Japan in 2003, builds on the legacy of the original MPC and following models and brings the line into the modern era, offering a huge range of new features. The MPC1000 supports 16bit/44.1kHz samples and has a great backlit LCD screen, 6 outputs, and 16 pressure- and velocity-sensitive high-quality pads. A nice feature of this unit is the ability to store your samples and sequences on compact flash cards (2GB). As expected, the MPC1000 is loaded With a large range of effects, an advanced sequencer, and USB connectivity. The form factor is also nicely portable, perfect for live performance. With this instrument, you can really start to create full arrangements with ease, truly making this a one-stop -shop for hip-hop and electronic music creation.

This unit is in very good condition, with minimal signs of wear (see pictures), including some marks which are not noticeable. This device has been tested by our professional technician and is working perfectly.
