Alchemy Audio modified the circuit with upgraded components to improve the sound - particularly the gain structure and bass (which are a bit lacking in stock form). After the mod, you'll have more available gain. Yet,the pedal will also clean up better at lower gain settings too! This is a serious upgrade to the stock pedal - particularly on the TS9 side of the circuit.
