This is a very cool 22” scale length acoustic dulcimer guitar. It just explodes with sound on this huge turtle shell guitar. Made with a snapping turtle back, and a beautiful rosewood top, this top really projects sound! The neck is a incredible zebra woo. I built this as a mountain dulcimer in guitar form. This is basically a 3 string instrument for tabs and chord purposes with the fourth string a drone that is tuned and played the same as the bottom string. I love the way dulcimer sound and I find the guitar is a lot easier to play and it has a full chromatic fretboard for more interesting chords and options. I have this in open G, but it can be tuned numerous ways. Open tunings are great as you can play full chords and fun melodies with one finger.
Dulcimer measurements:
33” x 11”overall
 22” scale length
 11”x11” shell
