Super duper rare Custom Shop ES-339 in Alpine White. Made at the legendary (and now closed) Memphis, Tenn. Custom Shop. Handwritten label and what looks like JB initials on the label.
I have only seen two of these ever. Dot inlays. Nice medium C profile neck. I believe Gibson called the neck a "Classic" 60's slim taper at the time. Rough measurements are 0.8" thick at the 1st fret and 0.88" thick at the 12th fret.
Great condition. Very little wear overall. A few superficial scratches on the back. No damage or repairs. And it comes with EXTRA PICKUPS. The original pickups were swapped with Stewart McDonald Golden Age Vintage Vibe PAF pickups, BUT the originals are included. Originals are reissue '57 PAFs (57 Classic, I believe is what they are called now). Also includes original hardshell case. Weighs 7 lb. 1 oz.
Binding has yellowed and the paint is starting age nicely as well. There is normal finish wear on the gold hardware. Very little fretwear. Take a close look at all the pics. A rare bird indeed. From what little info I could find, this was basically a one-off.
