Made in Japan Fender Stratocaster. Model is a Hybrid 60's Strat.
This guitar is a lovely shade of blue which caught my eye when I first saw it. I bought it from Japan during the pandemic and modded it to my own preferences . Mods are
- Seymour Duncan Antiquities Pickups Texas Hot = 6.0K Neck, 6.5 Middle and 9.0K Bridge
- Brass tone block - Much warmer than the steel IMO
- Fender Spec treble bleed circuit 20K, 150K and 1200pF
- 7 Tone switching - toggle switch allows Neck + Bridge and Neck + Middle + Bridge selections
- Pickup guard copper covered for static reduction.
I have place the serial numbers of pickups on the pick-guards because they are really well waxed potted and surprise, surprise not much sticks to wax.
Has one very small hard to see dent ( under 1/4" long) on front and no chips on body
It sounds and plays beautifully but I'm finding out (per Angus Young) rather late in life that little fingers are better suited to Gibson scales - deep sigh.
Comes with a black plastic hard-shell case.
