Very cool vintage Slingerland snare from 1963, according to a date stamp inside the shell. Serial # 34664. Awesome sounding drum for vintage music - jazz, blues, rock & roll, etc.Lots of character and vibe. I used it on a national blues record years ago, and it recorded beautifully. Crazy good sounding drum. As you can see, it has the "stick chopper" hoops with the claws. I'm estimating the depth of this drum. I put it up alongside a known 6.5" deep drum, and it appears a little deeper. It has some marks and scratches from years of being a player's drum, but this thing is in great condition as far as the edges and functionality. Even the throw functions perfectly. Make an offer!
