Sansui AU-70

Sansui AU-70 Tube Stereo Integrated amp that is completely restored. Every cap has been changed to high quality modern caps. Film caps are IC and Nichicon polypropylene. Power supply cans have all been restuffed with high temp, long hour Nichicon electrolytics. Most of the resistor have been changed to new metal film 1% and 5% with the exception of a few which are original but test right on there value. All 4 PEC’s have been rebuilt with modern individual components. The phono boards have been recapped and all resistors changed as well. The transistors in the phono stage have been replaced with matched NOS equivalent transistors. The phono stage sounds superb. The tubes are new old stock Sylvania 7189’s which are all biased within 1 mA. The 7189’s will include there original boxes. Preamp tubes are 2 RCA 7025’s, 1 RCA 12ax7a, and 2 RCA 6an8’s and test very strong on a TV7 tube tester. The speaker terminals have been upgraded to 5-way binding posts, but only for the 8 ohm taps and commons. I left the 16 ohm taps unused as all my speakers are 8 ohm. The face plate has a few imperfections, please see the pics, but overall is in excellent shape and looks fantastic. 

This receiver absolutely sings and is a piece of vintage hi fi history. I hate to see it go but the times call for it so I must sell it.
