Six Speed True Bypass Loop Switcher is a 6-loop true bypass switcher with an LED indicator for each loop. Each loop is switched by a light force 3PDT foot switch. Power for the LEDs is supplied by 9V DC, center negative polarity, through the 2.1mm jack. Since each loop is switched by a 3PDT switch, power is not required for the switcher to operate; power is only required for the LED indicators. Ample jack spacing accommodates standard pancake plugs!
Fill each loop with any number of pedals that you like, or leave some open (disconnected) for mute switches at different points in the chain. The send and return jacks are a switched type which are automatically grounded internally when disconnected so activating an open loop will fully mute your signal.
Use as a guitar switcher: Connect a second guitar to a return jack, leaving that send jack open. Activating that loop will switch to that guitar, muting everything before it.
Important things to remember:
1. Disconnect cables from unused loops. You don't want an unused cable connecting from a loop jack to nothing because it can cause unwanted noise, even if that loop is off. This is because the cable inserted in the jack will effectively be breaking the auto-grounding feature inside the jack and acting like an antenna which could potentially be picking up all kinds of unwanted noise.
2. Activate open loop for mute. If you choose to have any open loops then those switches can be used to mute your signal! Mute switches placed before time-based effects will allow them to trail off and mute switches placed after time-based effects will immediately mute everything. So, sometimes it's nice to have a couple of mute switches in strategic spots!
