A rare and beautiful specimen of late '70s - early '80s Tama goodness, this 14x26" Imperialstar bass drum features a Metallic White wrap, original metal bass drum hoops with matching inlays, retracting spurs, and a tom mount receiver.
The drum is in fantastic shape for its age. The finish has some very minor cracks around a few lugs and the spurs, but is otherwise holding tight. There is the odd scratch here and there, but by and large it retains its original luster. These metallic wraps often did not age well, contracting with age and causing widespread cracking and loss of wrap. This drum features none of that, and from the stage shines a gleaming bright white. The chrome shows some wear, with minor pitting and a few rust speckles here and there, but not bad considering the age of the drum. The bass drum hoops have a couple minor dents and some tape residue, but nothing noticeable from a few feet away.
The drum includes an original Tama-branded black dot head, which has some tape residue on it (this could easily be removed with a good goo-gone soak if you wish), with a Remo Ebony Pinstripe batter head.
I will have vintage Tama Omni-Lock and Omni-Sphere double tom holders listed for sale in my shop as well.
Shipping will be very expensive. Local pickup in the NW Chicago suburbs is available and encouraged. The vintage Anvil Fiber case is only included for local pickup orders, as the additional size and weight make shipping it with the drum cost prohibitive due to the size of box needed.
