This antique violin with inlay comes with a bow and the case shown or I can send it with an older period appropriate case. This violin is mid 19th century or early 20th century.
The violin has been repaired and refurbished by an experienced luthier at Donley Violins. I have had 2 different opinions as to it's origin. Donley said it was early to mid 19th century. Made or brought by an immigrant, probably Hungarian, who used inexpensive materials, but the craftsmanship was very good. The most recent opinion, stated that it was late 1800's or early 1900's, possibly German. There is no label in the violin and I have no paperwork.
The violin sounds nice and easily playable on a regular basis. Please advise with any questions or additional photos.
