The MPC2500 has become the industry standard for beat production. It is equipped with a 32-voice drum/phrase sampler and has a memory capacity of up to 128MB RAM, allowing for extensive editing capabilities. It is designed to meet the needs of professional music producers, as well as DJs and live performers.

Key features of the MPC2500 include a time tested drum-pad surface, two built-in effects processors, four Q-Link controllers for real-time control, 10 analogue outputs, and a S/PDIF digital output. It also boasts a powerful sequencer with a capacity of 100,000 notes and 64 tracks, which can be assigned to four different MIDI outputs, offering a total of 64 independently addressable MIDI channels.

The MPC2500 stores its internal sounds in flash memory, making it easy to swap them out using Compact Flash cards, an optional hard drive, or an optional CD-ROM drive. Additionally, the device comes with a Compact Flash card preloaded with sounds to help users get started quickly. Being sold as-is: * Screen flickers on startup * Some buttons require harder press * Wheel is jumping * Sampled playback has hiss
