50's Gibson Les Paul Wiring Harness 500K Long Shaft CTS Pots .015/.022 Orange Drop Capacitors Switchcraft Toggle

What is it?

-This is a 50's style pre-wired Les Paul wiring harness upgrade for Gibson and Epiphone Les Paul guitars. The 50's style wiring allows you to maintain more high end and clarity with less treble loss when rolling back on the volume.  

-This harness is for the player looking to add top end treble and clarity to their Les Paul.  Ideal for a more articulate and less muddy neck pickup tone.  It features the .015 Orange Drop capacitor for the neck pickup and .022 Orange Drop for the bridge.  When compared to the .022 caps, the .015 controls a narrower frequency range.  The result is a slightly sharper and clearer tone with a more detailed high end. Perfect for the player wanting to keep a brighter response with more treble on the neck and warm/soften the treble response on the bridge.   

-Hand wired with the highest quality parts and cleanest solder connections.  This wiring harness will give you the clearest signal possible with even and balanced volume/tone roll off.  

Ingredients 

-4 x matched CTS 500k pots.  Long split shaft, 3/8" wide bushing, 3/4" long threaded bushing. (CTS makes the highest quality potentiometers with consistent and reliable readings).  

-2 volume 2 tone

-.015mfd Orange Drop capacitor for neck pickup

-.022mfd Orange Drop capacitor for bridge pickup

-Vintage style pull back cloth wire (7 strand 22 gauge wire for the strongest grounding connection)

-Custom aluminum shield plate to insure proper grounding and noise reduction

-Switchcraft 3 Way Short Toggle pre wired with vintage style braided wire    

5/16" tall thread.

Requires 1/2" hole diameter and 15/16" cavity depth.    

Pre-wired with vintage style cloth wire with braided shield.     

17" for neck/bridge. 20" for jack.

Includes Creme Tip.  (black available upon request)

NOTE: If you are replacing the electronics on an Epiphone Les Paul you may need to widen the potentiometer holes on the guitar.  You may also need new plastic knob covers.  Most Epiphones come stock with smaller pots.
