1973 Martin D-18
We found a real gem here. If you are going to own one acoustic or have a favorite daily player, you couldn’t make a better choice than a really nice Martin D-18. They cover all the bases with tone, craftsmanship and playability. And, this baby ticks all of those boxes, but with the added benefit of age and years of loving care. The prior owner truly cared for this one. We always harp on the beauty of aged wood, and this guitar is no exception. The tone is simply fantastic. The spruce top and mahogany sides and back are nearly blemish free. There are a couple of nicks on the back and a slight (pretty unnoticeable) superficial pick rash at the sound hole and a ding or two at the base of the pick guard but the finish and structure are in excellent condition. The pickguard looks new and the bridge pins (though replaced some time ago) are upgraded Martin pins. We love the ebony bridge and fretboard on these Martin's-so smooth and easy to play. She’s been inspected, cleaned to a bright shiny finish and set up to play like a dream. Plenty of fret left. Truly an unpack and play beauty. Comes in the original blue/gray hard case in very good condition. A great find and a real top quality guitar.
