About This Listing

Hey now! You're looking at one of the holy grail's of saxophones.

This is a vintage 1968 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone.

Serial: 15xxxx.

This horn was just completely overhauled, by a master technician and you can see it in their work.

The horn was completely dis-assembled and cleaned.

All keys were swedged to take up lost motion, and all rods were straightened.

New pads, corks and felts were installed, all pads were seated, and the action was lubricated and regulated.

As beautiful as it is, the Best thing about this horn is the sound!!

It is rich and throaty and really powerful!

It's truly a real players horn as it can be expressive on so many different levels.

The intonation is dead on and the horn speaks clearly through all the registers.

If you're playing R&B, or Funk this horn can growl and cut through with an amazing presence.

If you pull it back you can get that smooth silky tone that every Jazz guy is looking for. All in all it's a fabulous and super versatile instrument!

It is in good overall condition, especially considering it's a 55 year old horn!

The original lacquer is about 50% intact, with the bare brass lightly rubbed to remove discoloration.

Normal playwear, marks/scratches and some dings/dents

Please carefully look through all of my detailed photos for a better visual description.

It's beautifully housed inside a new Protec contoured Pro Pac case.

Don't miss this opportunity to own an amazing horn that will give you a lifetime of great tone!!

Thanks for looking!
