This simple, robust foot pedal clicks on-off. Tested, good continuity when on. 5 or 6 foot cable terminates in a plug that LOOKS like 1/4" phone, but it's slightly narrower.
You will not make a reliable connection putting this directly in your 1/4" jack. But, the original Electrocraft USA-made jack that does fit it is included! So, wire it up, and no one will plug their guitar into your on-off switch!
