Spruce Top, Mahogany Side/Back, Mahogany Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard.
The body shape is slimmer than the regular J-45 and the cutaway shape is rounded for high playability. Yet, it still follows traditional construction methods. The J-45 offers a well-balanced sound in a wide range of registers and a clear and distinct tone with good separation between each string.
At the time, the J-45 mahogany side/back model was not available in the Avant Garde series for the Japanese market, and is believed to be an overseas-only product.
Equipped with L.R. Baggs' Element, this guitar can be used on stage by outputting to an amp or PA.

The head shows signs of use with scratches, and the head logo has some color tanning. The neck grip also shows some scratches, and there are some burn marks on the paint, but there is no damage that would interfere with playing. The pickguard has been removed by the previous owner, and there is some picking damage near the soundhole. The cherry color on the top has slightly faded due to the removal of the pickguard. There are some minor dents on the top of the body, and the end of the body also shows some light stand burn marks, and the entire body shows signs of wear.

The neck is in good condition.
There is enough room in the truss rod.
About 80% frets remaining.
String height on the 12th fret: 6th string side: approx. 2.5mm, 1st string side: approx. 2.0mm
